Heat build-up can reduce the service life of your projector, and can also be dangerous. Do not cover the ventilation slots on the projector. I dont suppose any of the lovely supporters would like to PM me over a quote for a replacement bulb for a Sanyo ProXtraX Multiverse Projector. The lamp was changed late 2020, so it will work for many years. Need Bulb for Sanyo ProXtraX Multiverse Projector. Sanyo PLC-XT21 Pro Xtrax Multiverse Multimedia Projector An item that does not function as intended and is not fully operational. It's easily fixable, so we'd rather not send it off for a pricey overhaul, but it does mean getting our large Zarges ladder out every week and climbing up to the rig to remove/replace the kettle lead.įor now, I've taped over the breaker switch in our dimmer room to keep power to the unit at all times (in standby) in the hope that without cycling the power this will stop happening, but it's more of a short-term fix and I'd rather find the cause of the problem long-term. The project is about 7-8 years old, and it has some signs of damage, but it works very well. We thought maybe it was a lamp issue but after replacing the lamp the problem still arises. I've had this happen in other Sanyo multiverse projectors but there I think I remember re-seating the lamp housing before power would come back through the system. By climbing up to our rig and manually removing/replacing the IEC power lead (with about a 5-10 minute gap in between) we've managed to restore power multiple times and have it turn back on again. I'm sure I've had this issue before on other Sanyo projectors (XP56s etc.)īasically, our permanently installed Sanyo Pro Xtrax projector has a strange issue whereby after it's been left on standby for a while or had hard power turned off/back on again from the breaker board, it will fail to power back to 'standby' mode (no lights on whatsoever) and we are unable to turn it on from the remote or the switch on the unit itself.
